Houghtons of London revamps its delivery operations with the selection of TouchStar’s electronic proof of delivery system. The family‑run firm, supplying fresh produce across the UK from its 7,000 sq ft refrigerated hub and 25‑vehicle fleet, was looking to upgrade its largely paper‑based workflows. With TouchStar’s cloud‑based system, they can now enhance route manifests, capture digital signatures, and monitor driver locations in real time — all integrated with their existing VanFilla scheduling platform.

Sales Director Lucie Houghton explains: “The proof of delivery system will immediately reduce our paper usage by at least 80 per cent… It’s going to be an asset for customers chasing PODs or wanting ETA’s on their deliveries.” With this implementation, Houghtons is poised to improve transparency, speed up delivery confirmations, and elevate service levels across its operations.
