Common questions about IQ Logistics, FuelStar, PODStar and Rugged Mobile Computers.
IQ Logistics is designed for logistics operations that need to replace paper-based processes or upgrade legacy systems — including warehouse and depot operations, parcel and general haulage, bulk fuel and LPG distribution, food logistics and retail fulfilment. Touchstar Rugged devices are deployed across warehouse floors, cold stores and fuel sites. FuelStar covers bulk fuel delivery in ATEX-certified environments. PODStar handles parcel, courier and general proof of delivery operations. If the operation involves moving goods, tracking assets or confirming deliveries, IQ Logistics has a relevant solution.
Yes. Touchstar's EvoLink integration platform connects FuelStar and PODStar with existing ERP, WMS, TMS and accounts systems via a full published API. Integration support is provided directly by Touchstar's UK-based team — by telephone or on site. Customisations built around your existing systems are preserved through software upgrades, so you don't lose configuration each time the platform is updated.
EPOD stands for electronic proof of delivery — the digital replacement for paper delivery notes, manifests and signature sheets. An EPOD system captures delivery confirmation in real time at the point of delivery, with electronic signatures, photo evidence and timestamp data sent instantly to the back office. PODStar is Touchstar's EPOD system for general logistics; FuelStar delivers EPOD functionality for bulk fuel operations.
Implementation timescales depend on the size of the operation and the level of back-office integration required. Straightforward deployments can be operational within a matter of weeks. More complex integrations with existing ERP or WMS systems will take longer. Touchstar manages the process directly — hardware configuration, software setup and driver training are all handled by the UK-based implementation team. A scoping conversation will give you a realistic timeline for your specific operation.
ATEX certification confirms that equipment is approved for use in explosive or hazardous atmospheres — including fuel depots, tanker environments and LPG distribution sites. Standard mobile devices are not rated for these environments. Touchstar's ATEX-certified in-cab hardware is specifically approved for fuel and gas distribution use. For operators in these sectors, ATEX certification is a regulatory requirement, not an optional feature.
For operations moving from paper, there is no data migration requirement — IQ Logistics starts capturing digital records from go-live. For operations upgrading from a legacy system, Touchstar's implementation team will assess what historical data needs to be transferred and how. Where data migration is required, this is handled as part of the implementation process. Your historical delivery records, customer data and route information are not lost in the transition.
Touchstar Rugged devices are designed to integrate with existing warehouse and logistics infrastructure. They are compatible with major WMS platforms and support standard barcode scanning protocols. For operations already running Zebra, Honeywell or Advantech hardware, Touchstar also works with these partner devices under the Altitude Partner Programme with SOTI device management. ATEX-certified variants are available for fuel and hazardous environments. A technical assessment prior to deployment will confirm compatibility with your specific setup.
Touchstar provides UK-based support with direct access to people who know your system — no third-party handoffs or offshore support desks.

Customisations made to FuelStar and PODStar are preserved through software upgrades. This is an explicit part of how Touchstar delivers its SaaS platform - you don't lose bespoke configuration each time a new version is released. Updates are managed by Touchstar and applied without requiring customers to rebuild their setup from scratch. Any changes that might affect existing customisations are discussed with the customer before they are applied.
